This little island is only one mile long and half a mile wide and is situated
45 miles north-east from Mahé. White powder-sand beaches and luxurious palm
tree vegetation cover the island. Apart from the owner and a few local
residents, the island is uninhabited. Now and then giant water turtles come to
the beach to lay their eggs in the sand.
Rooms/Accommodation: The only accommodation on the island, the Denis
Island Lodge features 24 spacious bungalows with bath or shower/toilet, fan
and terrace. Activities: Denis Island offers a lot of sports activities: Windsurfing,
tennis, table tennis and snorkelling in fascinating diving spots are included.
The diving school offers instruction at extra cost.
