The relatively large island has retained its natural beauty and is located
about 12 km north of Malé in the Rasdhoo Atoll and can be reached within
1.5 hours per speedboat from the airport. It is the only island resort on
the Maldives to combine three different hotels with an individual price
level, that are separated by lush tropical vegetation. Nevertheless, the
amenities of all three sister hotels can be used by the guests when staying
in one of the resorts. The island and the hotels can be discovered by
hiking on narrow green paths or going around by bus.
Accommodation/Amenities
The 80 Standard Rooms in round-built bungalows are comfortably furnished
and feature shower/WC, ceiling fan and terrace only a couple of steps from
the beach. The walls of the 71 Superior Rooms are covered with elegant wood
and come with air condition and bathtub. The resort comprises the Haruge
Restaurant with special set menue and buffet evenings, the Adobe Grill
serving open-air fish and barbecue specialties, the Atoll Coffee Shop with
tables directly on the beach and the newly opened Tandoor Mahal with its
Indian delicacies. The Fungi Bar serves cocktails and drinks till the last
guest is ready to go in a completely relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere.
The island also features a small hospital with a large decompression
chamber.
Activities
Great variety of sport activities on the island with snorkelling,
windsurfing, soccer, table tennis and volleyball being included. At extra
charge: waterskiing, catamaran sailing, dive center (PADI, NAUI, CMAS),
tennis court, fitness center and poolbillard.
Entertainment
Open-air discotheque, beach parties and live music daily in one of the hotels.
