The hotel La Casa en Falafy is located in the centre of Ramena, a small and
lively fishing village in the north of Madagascar, 18 kilometres
from Diego Suarez. Ramena, also known as Ramena Beach, is a popular
destination for swimming and relaxing on the beach. La Casa en Falafy
is the only hotel in the middle of the village. So guests will
be in close contact with the locals and can experience the Malagasy
culture. The beach is situated approximately 70 metres from the hotel.
Rooms/Accommodation:
La Casa en Falafy offers traditional palm leaf thatched bungalows
for 1 - 7 persons. The rooms are practically furnished and have bathroom/WC,
fan and terrace. In the main section of the hotel, beside some bungalows
in a small tropical garden, is a swimming pool, bar and restaurant with a
view over the beautiful Bay of Diego Suarez. The restaurant is well-known
for its excellent Malagasy cuisine. All local specialties are freshly prepared
in an open kitchen before the eyes of the guests. Depending on the catch of
the day an individual menu is offered amongst a variety of dishes.
4 additional bungalows and a plunge pool with a bar and wood fire pizza oven are
situated slightly apart from the main hotel area. Due to the elevated position,
guests can enjoy an amazing view onto the bay with its turquoise waters during
the day and a colourful sunset in the evening.
Activities:
Fishing, sailing, windsurfing, snorkelling and diving are offered for a fee.
A diving school can be found in the village.
La Casa en Falafy is an ideal starting point for excursions in the near
