Madagascar - an island with special natural treasures


Madagascar's nature treasures can hardly be described in words. The island is home to the worlds largest number of endemic bird and butterfly species, lemurs and chameleons. Due to badly developed infrastructure these animals are much more threatened by extinction than anywhere else. Madagascar also offers a fantastic marine world. The diving locations north and south of Nosy Be are renowned to be some of the best in the world. Small tropical islands with dreamlike sandy beaches, diverse culture and local cuisine inspired by a mix of French, Arabian and Asian influences, make Madagascar a most varied holiday experience.

All our published tours are available for 2 to maximum 12 persons. Additionally we can provide customised itineraries based on our existing hotel and camp offers. Not to disturb the sensitive ecosystem we practice responsible and sustainable tourism. As a result our guests are able to observe the wildlife in a more natural way. Of course we do not leave any signs of our presence, we take our rubbish home. We use gas instead of wood in order not to contribute to deforestation. We provide our guests with chemical toilets while camping. We avoid any kind of business which participates in the destruction of the environment by asking our guests not to buy items made from protected species, such as crocodile skin, turtle shells, sea shells, coral and butterflies. We work only with inbound tour operators that respect the principles and participate in the development of eco-tourism in partnership with the ANGAP (national association for the management of protected areas), the Tourism Board, the ONE (National Organisation for the Environment), WWF and the Go To Madagascar association.
