Meeru Island Resort  


Due to the relatively secluded location around 37 km northeast of Malé, divers can expect perfect conditions with rarely seen fish and large inhabitants of the sea. The diving team Ocean Pro organizes regular diving excursions in the morning, in the afternoon and even at nights or 2-tank- dives to diving sites that can be reached within 10-60 minutes per boat (at extra charges). Snorkeling lovers will find interesting fish and corals either within the lagoon or the house reef about ten minutes away by boat.

Accommodation/Amenities
The Standard rooms are built in units of several rooms, practically furnished with shower/WC, telephone, minibar, ceiling fan and small sitting areas and terrace.
The Superior Rooms in individual wooden bungalows are on the beach nestled in tropical vegetation and are spacious and comfortable with large, covered terraces on the sea side. They come with sitting area and a semi- open bathroom.
The Water Bungalows offer the same furnishings with an additional hairdryer, CD-player, tea- and coffee making facilities and are even more spacious with balcony and sundeck with direct access to the Indian Ocean.

The resort includes the Farivalhu Open-Air Restaurant serving buffets, the Hungaanu Coffee Shop with light snacks besides the large swimming pool and the Asian Wok / Haegern Restaurant offering Thai, Indian and Chinese specialties. Cocktails and drinks are served in the Dhoni Bar on the sundeck directly at the waterfront or in the Kakuni Bar in the discotheque before returning to the dance floor.

Activities
Included are beach volleyball, soccer, table tennis, table soccer, darts, badminton. At extra charges: extraordinary diving activities, snorkeling, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, deep sea fishing, fitness center, tennis, bicycle rental and a golf "Driving Range".

Entertainment
A variety of evening entertainment and some dance evenings, discotheque.
