The Beach
The Beach is located on the soft sand beach of Negombo. The
center of Negombo is an approximate five minute journey by the traditional
Cylonese Tuktuk or by taxi.
Rooms/Amenities:
The three-storied building is beautiful and inspired by traditional Sri Lanka
elegance. The spacious open lobby and reception area offers a panoramic view
of the beach. The beautiful garden terrace boards the swimming pool and a
bar that serves scrumptious light snacks. To relax, sunbathe on one of the
deckchairs (complimentary towels) under the shade of an umbrella or
palm tree. The hotel also has two restaurants, a bar, beach restaurant and
Ayurveda Center.
The tastefully furnished rooms are spacious and include the following
amenities: bathroom, toilet, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, radio,
mini-bar, telephone and balcony or terrace with a beautiful sea view.
Activities:
The use of the following sports and leisure activities are available to all
guests: two swimming pools, paddling pool, fitness center, tennis and
squash courts, volleyball, pool table and diving (depending on the season).
Excursions:
From The Beach, trips to the following sightseeing spots can
be suggested: Muthurajawela, Negombo Dutch Fort, Temple of Teeth (daytrip)
and diving excursions to fascinating diving spots in the Indian Ocean (Kudapaduwa
ship wreck, Ula Gala Reef and the Royal Air Force aircraft Katuneriya).
