This unique tiny resort is situated on a hillside amid tropical green, with
a fascinating view onto the bay and the open ocean. Giant granite stones
on the hotel's own beach Khuk Khak offer ideal snorkelling conditions. Baan Krating
Resort is located next to Khao Lak Lum Rue National Park. A trail
through the jungle leads to another, but smaller beach. The village
Amphor Khao Lak can be reached in about 40 minutes on foot. A hotel shuttle
service is provided at extra charge.
Rooms/Accommodation:
The 24 free-standing chalets are tastefully furnished and have shower/WC,
ceiling-fan, air-conditioning, TV, minibar, safe, coffee-/tea-making facilities
and terrace. The chalets are spread along the hillside and offer direct
or indirect ocean view onto the bay of Khao Lak. On the hotel premises is
a restaurant with Thai specialties and a small pool with sun loungers.
Sport/Activities:
Day and snorkel excursions can be organised in the nearby small town.
