St. Andrew's Hotel

Surrounded by lush green vegetation, the St. Andrew's Hotel is located approximately 1.900 meters above sea level, in the former British colonial town of Nuwara Eliya in the heart of Sri Lanka. The hotel is more than 100 years old and is in the vicinity of the town center and an 18-hole golf course. The mountain climate is pleasantly cool and offers a refreshing alternative to the tropical temperatures felt in other parts of the country, therefore with good reason the Nuwara Eliya is also known as "Little England".

Rooms/Amenities: The hotel features an attractive lobby and tearoom with an open fireplace and inviting English styled seating area. In the evening dine in the restaurant and listen to classical background music. The wine cellar, bar and boutique are just some of the other delights to be discovered. The 52 rooms are spacious and favor the Colonial style furnishings, each encompass a bathroom/shower, toilet, telephone, sitting area and central heating. The suites are elegant and have an additional TV, mini-bar, four-poster bed and balcony.

Activities: At an extra charge, children can enjoy pony trekking, whilst adults can enjoy a round of golf at the local course or a game of billiards on the prestigious antique billiard table.

Excursions: Excursions are available to the Botanical Gardens of Hakgala, Horton Plains and Adam's Peak.
