3rd Day: The Adventurous West
Home of the Sakalava, Vezo and Mahafaly people, the deep southwest is very special. A large number of African immigrants arrived via the Mozambique Channel, whose influence in language and customs remains strong today. The dry climate, the deciduous forest, endless sandy beaches and lack of roads is a paradise for adventure travellers.

Tsingy of Bemaraha
After an early breakfast a private plane will depart at 6.30 am from Antananarivo Aeroclub to Morondava in the west. Approximately 1,5 hour into your flight you will see the canyons of the Manambolo River. Near Bekopaka you will land for a short boat trip by pirogue on the Manambolo River, including a picnic lunch and a visit to traditional graves. Your flight will continue over Tsingy of Bemaraha and its typical landscape: a dry plateau, where the influence of wind and weather has shaped a labyrinth of hundred meters high sharp pillar rock formations. You will land at Morondava's airport where transfer to Hotel Baobab awaits you.

4th Day: Belo-Sur-Mer
Boat transfer to an idyllic seaside fishing village 60 km south of Morondava, where you will stay by the beach at Belo Sur Mer Camp on a full board basis. Here you can snorkel and fish with local fishermen in traditional pirogues. The whale watching season is from August to September at which time whales can hopefully be sighted.

5th Day: Manja
A 100 km journey by 4x4 wheel drive across sandy roads takes 3 hours and will pass several Baobab Trees. You will camp on a full board basis in the vicinity of the village Manja.

6th Day: Andavadoaka
Your car journey will continue for another 210 km including a ferry passage across the Mangoky River (near Bevoay) in which large crocodiles can be found. You will see more Baobab Trees and drive throught the city of Morombe. Your next camping location is the Morombe Camp situated in a beautiful bay overlooking the Indian Ocean. Full board included.

7th Day: Andavadoaka
A day of leisure to discover an original Swiss mission and a fishing village. You also have the possibility to take a boat trip to a nearby island on a large pirogue with local Vezo fisherman. Full board accommodation at the Morombe Camp.
