The island of Tsara Banjina is a member of the Mitsio Archipelago and
offers excellent diving and snorkelling conditions. To reach the island
you will have to take a plane from Antananarivo to Nosy Be (about 1
hour) and then continue by speed boat from Nosy Be to Tsara Banjina
(about 1 hour and 45 minutes). This is only possible if your plane arrives
before 4 o'clock.
The wonderful Constance Lodge Tsarabanjina is nestled in the middle of a tropical rainforest
under various coconut palm trees directly on two fantastic white powder
sand beaches. The lodge features a lobby, a boutique and a shop with
traditional and contemporary pieces of art from Madagascar.
The restaurant is located on the second floor over the bar and offers
a breathtaking view of the ocean. Breakfast and lunch are served as a buffet,
whereas dinner is offered à la carte. The chef de la cuisine is specialised
in fish and seafood dishes and a seafood dinner can be served on the beach
(at extra charges). The bar with the sand-covered floor faces the lagoon.
From time to time, evening entertainment shows are provided.
The 25 wooden Bungalows (40m²)) are located on the north and south beach. All
bungalows are cosily furnished with
thatched roofs featuring bathroom/shower, toilet, hairdryer (on request),
ceiling fan, spacious terrace with hammock and a spectacular ocean view.
Activities
Included are snorkelling (fantastic coral reefs), kayaking, water skiing,
catamaran sailing, volleyball, bocci games, one tennis court with floodlight,
table tennis and walks round the island.
At extra charge are massages, deep-sea fishing, diving school (PADI, CMAS, NAUI) and excursions
to the Mitsio Archipelago.
