The Tsara Komba Lodge is located on the southern coast of the very quiet and peaceful little island of Nosy Komba, directly on a lonesome beach undisturbed by traffic due to the lack of roads on the island. The hotel can only be reached by boat. The transfer with the hotel-owned speedboat takes about 20 minutes from the harbour on Nosy Be. On request, guests can also be picked up at the airport.

The lodge was constructed in 2004 on a hill and is idyllic nestled in a tropical garden. The two French owners of the hotel Christian and Guy were in charge of the architecture themselves and put great stress on using local wood and materials. Traditional carving exposures and paintings of local artists perfectly correspond with the rustic and elegant furnishing.

Rooms/Accommodation
The six Ocean View Lodges (75m²) and two Ocean View Suite Lodges (100m²) are furnished in a modest but nevertheless very luxurious style and offer a shower/toilet, safe and a spacious terrace with a splendid view on the Indian Ocean and the west coast of Madagascar. With a bit of luck, dolphins might be seen and observed.
The restaurant is located in the main building and offers international cuisine with a selection of excellent wines. Laundry service and a little souvenir shop are available for the guests.

Activities
Snorkelling and two traditional canoes (pirogues) are included. The manufacturing of the canoes might be watched in the neighbor village.
At extra costs: Diving in the vicinity of the island of Mitsio and deep-sea fishing with a 9-meter speed boat in the Marine Parc Tanikely. During an expedition to the main island of Madagascar, the visit of a coffee/cocoa plantation, a traditional rum distillery and the colourful and busy market in Ambanja are recommended. On a trekking tour with/without a guide on the island and on the top of a mountain with an altitude of 600 meters, visitors will get an interesting impression of the Malagasy fauna and a breathtaking view on the neighbouring islands.
